PROGRAMME 4

option 1:

We climb up a 1000 metres to ancient 3000 year old olive trees with unique and wonderful shapes. Up here is the best view over the sea, the Castle Fanetes as well as the the neighboring islands Ithaca and Lefkada. Halfway through we take a short break before returning to the stables.

option 2:

This ride brings us up to the 600 year old Castle Fanetes where many scenes from the famous movie Captain Corelli were shot. From here you can enjoy a great view of Sami and ancient Acropolis. There will be short break for exploring the ruins before we ride back to the stables.

option 3:

We pass through four old villages destroyed by the earthquake in 1953. The last village Mousakata suffered great loss during the end of World War II and you can still see marble memorials erected in the victims’ names today. From here you can also take in the lovely view over the valley as far as the village of Pyrgi and Mount Aionos.
