Duration: 4 hours
Option 1: We ride up the mountain, through the Cypress forest and past a ruined village destroyed in the 1953 earthquake. Great views all the way. Then down to the beach near Sami where we ride the horses in the sea. For experienced riders only there will be an opportunity to actually swim your horse in the sea. On the return journey we pass along farm tracks through Olive groves. Near the end of the ride we pass through a magical forest along a single track and emerge near a ruined water mill and old stone bridge said to be 600 years old. Then back to the stables.
Option 2: On this ride we visit the unspoilt countryside, cross a riverbed and climb up the mountains to an old village destroyed in the 1953 earthquake. Midway we meet a shepherd who will offer either a cold coffee or a cold chocolate drink. Delicious. Then after a brief rest the journey home.
Swimming with the horses is not possible in the month June July and August
We offer riding helmets and chaps at no extra charge
PARTICIPATION AND VISIT IS AT YOUR OWN RISK
